Marian University women’s bowling finished with 7,093 pins to take second at the third GLBC Event.
- Marian opened with 4,261 in traditional play to open the event in second place.
- The Sabres were consistent in all five games finishing between 837 and 864 pins.
- The Sabres then finished with 2,832 pins in Baker format to finish in second. It was also the second-highest Baker score in the field.
- Marian only trailed UW-Whitewater who finished with 4,419 in traditional and 2,904 in Baker for a final pin count of 7,323.
- The Sabres averaged at least 185 in three of the four Baker sets with at least 200 pins in six games.
- Marian also had a varsity-reserve squad compete that finished with 4,237 pins in traditional play, third in the entire field, and 2,610 in Baker play.
Brenna Schiekiera led the field with a 192.4 average. She had two games with more than 200 pins and a high game of 256. | |
Jocelynn Eggert earned All-Tournament recognition finishing fifth with a 187.6 average. She had a high game of 209. | |
Abby Giddings led the Marian varsity-reserve team and averaged 186.2 to finish sixth. Her high game proved to be a 212. |
