The Summer Series for Interns & Co-Ops is hand-crafted and exclusively created for interns and co-op students within the Fond du Lac area. We have designed the Series in an effort to support your organization’s existing internship or co-op program. Our goal is to assist in your recruitment and retention strategies while promoting the greater Fond du Lac area.

The series provides professional development, leadership and life skills, and information on living, working and playing in Fond du Lac as a young professional. By offering unique topics and content, combined with events already scheduled (i.e.: Young Professionals of FDL Member Monday), this program provides a platform for further community exposure.

What do our business partners have to say about the program? “The Summer Series for Interns was not only a beneficial program to engage our interns in offerings that the Fond du Lac community can provide; but it was also fun! The students really enjoyed going to the different programs, seeing different venues in the city, and connecting with other interns from neighboring businesses that were in Fond du Lac for the summer. We highly recommend including this in your businesses summer intern programming.” – HR Manager at Grande

In 2022 the Summer Series will be made up of a total of five events, spanning June – August. We anticipate over 100 students will participate, representing businesses of all industries and sizes across Fond du Lac County.

Event Topic Examples Include:

  • Round table networking with the Young Professionals of Fond du Lac
  • Panel discussion of community service organizations, i.e. Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, etc.
  • C-Suite panel discussion with our area’s top leaders
  • Recent interns that have been hired; what did their path to employment look like
  • Group volunteer opportunity

Registration Information:

The registration fee is $120 per intern/co-op, this secures their participation in the entire Summer Series for Interns & Co-Ops (5 events total).  Business representatives will register their interns/co-ops. It is recommended that you determine your exact headcount for the series and then complete one ‘bulk’ registration.

Registration will open in January 2022.
