Marian University track and field closed its season at the 2026 NACC Outdoor Championships, with two Sabres earning podium finishes.
WOMEN
- Sophomore Grace Blauert earned her first career NACC podium finish, placing seventh in the pole vault, the top finish by a Marian athlete at the meet. She cleared 2.96 meters (9-08.50) and closes her debut season as the program’s indoor and outdoor pole vault record holder.
- Sophomore Jude Al Taie competed in the 200 meters and long jump, placing 19th in the 200 with a personal-best time of 32.34 and 17th in the long jump with a mark of 3.87 meters (12-8.50). Al Taie closes her sophomore season ranked second all-time at Marian in the indoor long jump and fourth in the outdoor long jump.
- Freshman Charlotte Touw ran a consistent 3:01.21 in the 800 meters, finishing less than three seconds off her personal best set at the outdoor opener at St. Norbert. Touw negative split the race, opening in 1:31 and closing in 1:29 to place eighth of 10 in her heat.
MEN
- Senior Matthew Linn capped his Marian career with a podium finish in the discus, placing eighth with a throw of 37.31 meters (122-05). This mark set a new collegiate personal best and gave Linn his second career NACC podium finish after placing eighth in the shot put at last year’s outdoor championships. Linn finishes his career as Marian’s indoor and outdoor shot put record holder and ranks second all-time in the discus.
- Freshman Malik Holmes placed 34th in the 100 meters and 39th in the 200 meters, posting times of 12.79 and 26.89, respectively. After missing over a month of competition, Holmes closed his season with a collegiate personal best in the 200, dropping more than a second from his previous mark of 27.92.
- Senior Jackson Shultis closed his collegiate career with a personal-best throw of 17.41 meters (57-01) in the discus, placing 26th. The mark surpassed his previous best by more than three meters.
