Sophomore Benett Luke recorded his second hat trick of the season as Marian University men’s lacrosse (0-13, 0-11 NACC) concluded the season with a 16-4 loss to Lawrence. 
 

• The Vikings opened strong with five five-quarter goals, as Joe McCabe recorded two goals and an assist for Lawrence. Marian was held without a shot in the quarter. 
• Following early second-quarter penalties on both sides, sophomore Brandon Fain scored his third goal of the season to put the Sabres on the scoreboard, assisted by sophomore Andrew Nesbitt. 
• The Vikings scored three more goals over the next five minutes before sophomore Benett Luke capped a long Marian possession with his first goal of the evening, making the score 8-2.
• Senior Jackson Sweeney stopped the final two Viking shots of the half, but the Sabres went into the break trailing 9-2.
• Lawrence outscored Marian 5-0 in the third quarter, as the Sabres were held without a shot on goal. 
• Luke took advantage of a man-up opportunity early in the fourth with a goal, as Nesbitt added his second assist of the contest. 
• The Sabres scored again midway through the quarter, with Luke notching his third goal of the game.
• Sweeney added four saves in the final quarter of his Marian career, as the Sabres fell 16-4.

• Sweeney finishes his Marian career with 861 saves, ranking second all-time in NACC history. He also made 232 saves this season, breaking his own record for most saves in a single season in Marian history. 
• Lawrence held a 45-12 shot advantage, recording 10 or more shots in each of the first three quarters. 
• Marian scored on both of its extra-man opportunities.
• Sweeney reached double-digit saves for the tenth consecutive game.
• The Sabres and Vikings met for the second time, with Lawrence winning both meetings, including an 18-7 victory in last year’s season finale in Appleton.

	Sophomore Benett Luke matched his career-high with three goals and closed the season with goals in eight of his last nine games.
	Sophomore Andrew Nesbitt his first two-assist game while adding five ground balls.
	Senior Jackson Sweeney (0-13) made 15 saves and led the Sabres with three caused turnovers.
