Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s Agri-Business Council receives two Dairy Excellence Awards from Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin

Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s Agri-Business Council received awards for two of their creative efforts during the pandemic. They received first place for their virtual Ag Ambassador presentations in the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin school day on the farm or school education and promotions category. They also received third place for their June Dairy Month breakfast or promotion for their Ag-Venture drive-thru event this past June.

Applications were judged by an independent panel of judges and award monies were allocated based on number of entries in each category and the quality of entries in each category.  The results were tabulated then winners were notified.

“We continue to navigate through this COVID pandemic and find ways to pivot so we can continue the mission of our Agri-Business Council,” Amy Ries, Director of Agriculture Programs, Envision Greater Fond du Lac, said. “Through events such as last year’s Ag-Venture drive-thru and this year’s virtual classroom visits, we are able to remain committed to cultivating passion for the agriculture industry throughout our county and beyond.”

Founded in 1980, the Fond du Lac Area Agri-Business Council provides a forum for communication among Fond du Lac Area agri-business entities, assists in cooperative promotion of area agribusiness from the field to the table, as well as providing local education on the role of agri-business in the economy of the greater Fond du Lac area.
