Bank First – Important Fraud Alert

Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Calls, Texts, and Emails

Scammers are actively targeting banking customers across the country with phishing attempts. In these scams, fraudsters impersonate financial institutions and may even spoof legitimate phone numbers, including Bank First’s 920‑652‑3300 number.

Fraudsters may contact you by phone, text, or email and attempt to gain access to your account or sensitive information. These messages may appear urgent or convincing, but they are not from Bank First.

Be extremely cautious if you are asked to provide any personal or financial information. Bank First will never ask for your online banking login credentials, passwords, or authentication codes.

What These Scams May Look Like

Fraudsters use a variety of tactics. You may experience:

  • A phone call claiming to be from our Fraud Department asking you to verify a transaction
  • A request to confirm or stop a suspicious charge or ACH transfer
  • A caller asking for your online banking username, password, or a one-time PIN
  • A text message with a security code and instructions to “reply to verify your identity”
  • A message urging immediate action to prevent account closure or fraud
  • A link directing you to log in or review account activity

For business customers, these scams often involve requests to verify ACH or wire activity, update payment details, or confirm account access.

How to Protect Yourself

  • Never share your login credentials, passwords, or authentication codes
  • Do not click links in unsolicited emails or text messages
  • Verify website URLs before entering any personal or financial information
  • Be cautious of messages that create urgency or pressure you to act quickly
  • If something feels off, do not respond
