Young Professionals of Fond du Lac names Kim Bresser YP of the Year

Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF), a program of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, named Kim Bresser of Mercury Racing their Young Professional of the Year for 2023. Ms. Bresser will be honored during the Envision Greater Fond du Lac Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

“This entire process – from Future 5 nomination to Future 5 Awards night and now being named Young Professional of the Year — has been completely heartwarming,” Bresser said. “At times I get caught up in the chaos of this season of life – trying to establish myself professionally, being married to a farmer, raising two little boys, while still trying to be involved in the community – and Future 5 has allowed me to pause, reflect, and celebrate the amazing things all the young professionals in our area are doing. I am beyond thankful for this award and that YPF recognizes that the work I’m doing now – which is very different than what it was 10+ years ago when I joined the group – still provides value to the greater Fond du Lac region. I encourage everyone – wherever they are at in life or their professional journey – to seek opportunities to get involved, to pitch in, to volunteer and serve our community.”

Bresser works as Marketing Project Manager for Mercury Racing and volunteers time to multiple organizations and causes including Public Relations Society of America – Northeast Wisconsin Chapter, Central Wisconsin Christian School Advancement Committee, and Waupun Food Pantry. She is also a proud member of the agricultural community, as she and her husband work to take over his family’s dairy operation (in Waupun).

YPF established the Future 5 Awards in 2013 as a way to support and recognize upcoming leaders in the community. This award is presented to five area young professionals ages 21-40 who are presently growing and excelling in their respective fields and will continue to positively influence the growth, prosperity, and quality of life in Fond du Lac County well into the future.

The 2023 Future 5 recipients also included: Grace Bruins, Marketing Officer, Assistant Vice President, Horicon Bank; Rhiannon Diederichs, Realtor, First Weber, Inc.; Jim Misudek, General Manager, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders; and Tyler Schulz, Owner, Werner Harmsen Funeral Home, Werner Harmsen Furniture and Flooring.

YPF, a program of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, was established in 2004 and strives towards its mission to engage and empower current and future leaders in the greater Fond du Lac area through professional development, networking/mentorship, and community engagement opportunities. Currently, YPF has more than 600 members.
