Fond du Lac county ready to get back to business

Envision Greater Fond du Lac is leading the charge with a task force to create a road map to reopen Fond du Lac County. This task force is comprised of a cross-representation of the county and the purpose is to assemble guidelines and best practices for various industries, businesses and organizations to follow. The members of the group include public health officials, community partners, business and industry representatives, and elected officials.

Following guidance from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services Emergency Order #31, “Wisconsin shall adopt a phased approach to reopening its economy and society, with each phase being incrementally less restrictive on businesses and individuals while protecting the public from COVID-19.” This task force seeks to prepare an incremental plan to reopen the economy and build a ‘new normal’.

“We’re working diligently to make sure our county businesses are represented on this task force,” Sadie Parafiniuk, Envision Greater Fond du Lac President/CEO, said. “We’re leading the way here in Fond du Lac County to build a comprehensive plan that will give businesses a foundation to reopen in a manner that adheres to governmental guidelines.”

This task force is mindful of the legalities associated with the reopening of the state and county and will work within those guideline parameters. As details of the task force plan become available, Envision Greater Fond du Lac will release this information.
