Making Lemonade out of Lemons: Fond du Lac Area Lemonade Day to offer Drive-Thru Experience for Students

The Fond du Lac Area Lemonade Day program will continue this spring with a twist. Student participants will have the opportunity to learn entrepreneurial lessons through an interactive virtual curriculum and host drive-thru lemonade stands or to-go lemonade options to customers on May 1, 2021. All participants are required to practice social distancing and adhere to health and safety guidelines outlined by Fond du Lac County Health Department and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in order to provide convenient, contactless service that is safe for participants and customers.

Lemonade Day teaches students how to start, own, and operate their own business through the tool of a lemonade stand. The program teaches students entrepreneurial skills, budgeting, goal development, customer service, and the importance of giving back to the local community.

Students in grades 3-6 are invited to participate. Registration is required and open through March 31. 2021. Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children and guide them through the curriculum lessons at home. Register here: http://lemonadeday.org/fond-du-lac-area.
