Inclusion Mural Coming to Downtown Fond du Lac

A team from Leadership Fond du Lac is engaging youth in the Fond du Lac area as part of the team’s community project – a mural contest beautifying the Portland Street Parking Ramp in Downtown Fond du Lac.

The mural contest invited local 6th-12th grade students throughout the Fond du Lac area to showcase their artistic talents and what inclusion in Fond du Lac means to them.

The contest was initiated in early March and final mural proposals were due in the beginning of April. On April 8, a committee reviewed all mural submissions and selected the final two murals for the Fond du Lac community to vote on. The Leadership Team is asking the community to go to the project’s website:  https://sites.google.com/view/fdlportlandrampmural to vote for the mural they would like to see displayed at the Portland Street Parking Ramp. Voting is open through May 1, 2019.

The winning artist of the mural contest will be invited to the unveiling event taking place in mid-May. The mural will be displayed at the Portland Street Parking Ramp, located to the north of Hotel Retlaw.
