Marian University women’s bowling will be heading to the Lansing Regional for its first trip to the NCAA Tournament.
The Sabres will be joined in Lansing by No. 3 Youngstown State, No. 6 Nebraska and No. 9 Maryville (Mo.). Marian received an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament after winning its third CCIW Tournament Championship. The NCAA Regionals consists of a double-elimination bracket with a mega-match format. The mega-match format consists of a traditional game, total pin Baker game, and a best-of-seven Baker match-up, if necessary. Marian only faced Maryville (Mo.) during the regular season falling in a Baker match and splitting two traditional matches.
Marian will open its first trip to the national tournament against No. 3 Youngstown State from Royal Scot Golf and Bowl at 9 a.m. Friday, April 5.
