Envision Greater Fond du Lac transitions Youth Leadership programming to Sophia Partners

Envision Greater Fond du Lac will transfer the programming and oversight of their Youth Leadership program to Sophia Partners. Sophia Partners will officially take the reins to coincide with the start of the 2021-2022 academic year.

Youth Leadership Fond du Lac, a program designed for Fond du Lac County high school juniors, was created in 2006 as a Leadership Fond du Lac community project to give emerging young leaders the chance to learn how the community works, where its opportunities lie, and how they might fit into future solutions. Through monthly day-long sessions over an eight-month period, the students become a team. They complete a project to benefit the community, learn directly from people in charge of businesses and organizations across the county, and learn from one another.

“During Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s strategic planning sessions late last year, program optimization was one of our four main themes,” Sadie Parafiniuk, President and CEO, Envision Greater Fond du Lac, said. “During this process, it was determined that there was a community partner who is better equipped to lead this program. Sophia Partners is dedicated to inspiring, guiding, and connecting anyone who wants to embrace servant leadership.”

Sophia Partners will become the home of Youth Leadership with the 2021-2022 academic year. Envision Greater Fond du Lac will serve in an advisory capacity during this transition year.

“Sophia Partners is excited to add Youth Leadership Fond du Lac to our program offerings,” Christa Williams, Executive Director, Sophia Partners, said. “We believe that  providing the next generation of leaders with knowledge of our community and vital leadership experiences will benefit the community for years to come.”
