Envision Greater Fond du Lac transitions Youth Apprenticeship (YA) program to CESA 6

Transition will enhance student experiences and expand number of opportunities through YA Pathways

Envision Greater Fond du Lac will work collaboratively to transition the Fond du Lac County-based Youth Apprenticeship (YA) program to CESA 6. This move aligns with Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s strategic directive to work more closely with businesses to address workforce issues.

This change in the YA program is expected to enhance the student experiences, expand the number of YA opportunities, provide additional opportunities across all pathways, and allow each respective organization the opportunity to better focus on what they do well.

“Envision Greater Fond du Lac will still be part of the youth apprenticeship program,” Lisa McArthur, Director of Economic and Workforce Outreach, said. “CESA 6 is equipped with the skills and talent to assist students with their educational and career goals; Envision Greater Fond du Lac remains a strong conduit to the business community.”

The migration of the YA program to CESA 6 will take place over the 2021-2022 academic year. Students are currently engaging in interviewing training workshops to be prepared for the apprenticeship experiences.

All businesses who are members of Envision Greater Fond du Lac are eligible to participate in the Youth Apprenticeship program. For more information on participating, businesses should contact Lisa McArthur at [email protected] or 920.921.9500.
