Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Executives Gather at Fall Retreat

This week, chamber leaders from across the state came together in Minocqua for the Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Executives (WCCE) Annual Conference & Retreat.

The three-day event included professional development, networking, and discussion on key issues impacting local chambers and economic growth. Attendees heard from a diverse lineup of speakers, including WMC’s Kurt Bauer, who presented the Wisconsin Competitiveness Report and facilitated discussions on the state’s economy. Jason Ebey, President and CEO of YGM, delivered sessions on total resource campaigns and chamber best practices, while Dave Minor, who will soon retire as President/CEO of the Eau Claire Area Chamber, shared insights during an executive spotlight presentation.

Additionally, Michael Frohna and Kevin Adelsen of Humaner were joined by WMC’s Michelle Grajkowski to discuss strategies for eliminating organizational friction. Wade Goodsell of WMC moderated a chamber leadership panel, which included Shar Hermanson, Sadie Howell, Amanda Payne, and Tina Thompson, who explored economic development, workforce challenges, and advocacy initiatives. The conference also included presentations from Congressman Tom Tiffany and Rep. Rob Swearingen, along with breakout sessions focused on chamber-specific insights.

Thank you to Discover Wisconsin and Amazon Hub for their support of this event, and to Capt. James Harvey for sharing the USS Wisconsin with the group!
