Marian women’s soccer falters late at Redlands

Marian University women’s soccer (0-1-1, 0-0-0 NACC) was defeated 3-1 by Redlands to open its trip to California.

  • Marian came out strong in the opening half, outshooting Redlands 8-4 and taking a 1-0 lead on an own goal.
  • This lead held heading into halftime.
  • The momentum started to shift in the second half when Redlands scored their first goal at the 64:30 mark.
  • The Bulldogs were able to take the lead in the 74th minute and set the final at 3-1 scoring for a third time in the second half just 86 seconds later.
