Award recognizes outstanding employers in the insurance industry
Society Insurance has been named a 2026 Best Place to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance. The annual program recognizes insurance employers that foster employee well-being, engagement and organizational success.
Society Insurance, a Fond du Lac-based mutual insurer specializing in business coverage, supports employees through workplace programs focused on flexibility, well-being, community involvement and professional growth.
Society’s workplace programs are designed to support employee engagement and help employees provide exceptional customer experiences.
Flexible schedules, remote work options and paid time off support work-life balance. Employees can give back through paid volunteer time, charitable matching and grants from the employee-led Charity Committee. A comprehensive wellness program includes health coaching, virtual workout classes and dedicated mental health leave.
Career coaching, tuition reimbursement and student loan repayment assistance support employee growth. Benefits also include competitive pay, a 401(k) profit-sharing match and defined-contribution retirement deposits.
“This recognition reflects the culture our employees build every day,” said Heather Boyer, president & CEO of Society Insurance. “By working together and supporting one another, they provide the service our agency partners and policyholders count on.”
Best Places to Work in Insurance is an annual sponsored content feature presented by the Custom Publishing unit of Business Insurance and Best Companies Group. It recognizes insurance employers with high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction. Companies complete a two-part assessment that includes an employer questionnaire on policies, practices and demographics and a confidential employee survey on engagement and satisfaction.
Employers are grouped by size: small, 25-249 employees; medium, 250-999; and large, 1,000 or more. This year’s report features 100 companies ranging from 25 to more than 4,000 employees.
The ranking and profiles of the winning companies will be unveiled in the November issue of Business Insurance and online at BusinessInsurance.com.
