Nominations Now Open for Wisconsin Businesses, Organizations, and Leaders Making a Lasting Impact
Marian University is proud to announce the 45th Annual Business & Industry Awards, which will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, on the Marian University campus. The annual event celebrates the achievements of Wisconsin businesses, organizations, and individuals whose innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, and commitment to community continue to strengthen the state’s economy and quality of life.
Established in 1981, the Business & Industry Awards have become one of the region’s premier celebrations of business excellence. Each year, business leaders, community partners, and supporters gather to recognize organizations and individuals whose vision and dedication have made a significant impact across Wisconsin.
“Marian University’s Business & Industry Awards honor the remarkable individuals and organizations that drive economic growth, foster innovation, and invest in the well-being of their communities,” Aaron Sadoff, Marian University President, said. “These awards recognize not only business success, but also the leadership and values that help communities thrive.”
Award recipients are selected from Wisconsin-based businesses, organizations, and individuals demonstrating exceptional achievement in their industries and meaningful contributions to their communities. Award categories may include:
- Business of the Year
- Entrepreneur of the Year
- Economic Development Award
- Community Collaboration Award
- International Business Achievement Award
- Spirit of Hospitality Award
- Special Achievement Award
- George Becker Business Spirit Award
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2026 awards program (through July 31, 2026). Community members, business leaders, and organizations are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals and businesses whose accomplishments exemplify innovation, service, leadership, and positive community impact.
More than 200 business and community leaders traditionally attend the annual awards celebration, which also serves as an opportunity to strengthen connections among Wisconsin’s business community while recognizing excellence across industries.
