Advisory Council
The Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF) was founded in 2004 by a group of 12 young professionals in the Fond du Lac area. Through Leadership Fond du Lac, they met together to decide on the name, the mission and vision, and the initial structure and volunteer leadership of YPF.
The Young Professionals of Fond du Lac is a program area of Envision Greater Fond du Lac.
Mission: To engage and empower current and future leaders in the Fond du Lac area through professional development, networking, and social opportunities.
Vision: Together, we will be agents of change, guiding our community forward as it evolves. We actively recruit young professionals with diverse backgrounds and ideas to participate in programs that advance the personal and professional development of our members.
Role of YPF Advisory Council
The YPF Advisory Council is a standing committee of Envision Greater Fond du Lac and assumed to continuously function.
The YPF Advisory Council supplements and supports the strategic direction and priorities set by Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s Board of Directors. It provides knowledge and resources to advance the efforts, initiatives, and success of the programming of YPF. This may include program development and execution, research, membership engagement, and fundraising.
It is the YPF Advisory Council’s responsibility to advance its mission and complete its annual program of work with recordable metrics, in alignment with the strategic priorities set forth by the Board of Directors of Envision Greater Fond du Lac. Advancement of its mission includes supporting and growing a program-specific membership base that supports the efforts of the YPF and the organization.
YPF Advisory Council members are expected to:
- Regularly attend YPF events.
- Review meeting materials ahead of Advisory Council meetings.
- Attend Advisory Council meetings.
- Actively participate in at least one (1) YPF standing or special committee per calendar year.
Composition and Advisory Member Roles
The YPF Advisory Council will be made up of diverse volunteer leaders with interest in advancing the mission of YPF. Their set of skills, knowledge, and connections will enable the YPF Advisory Council to understand the issues related to needs, opportunities, and strategic priorities, as well as develop solutions, programs, and metrics to indicate success and positive impact to the community.

Applications for new YPF Advisory Council members shall be solicited from the membership. New members to the YPF Advisory Council shall be voted on by the current YPF Advisory Council from the applications received.
