What do you enjoy the most about your career?
I enjoy teaching because I value impact and mentorship. Relationships allow me to see your influence on students not just academically, but personally—helping them feel seen, heard, and supported. Teaching provides me opportunities to guide, inspire, and model qualities like perseverance, empathy, and leadership.

What words of wisdom would you share with other YP’s in relation to career building?
Build relationships with leaders in your career, play the long game, have good habits, and be coachable.

What is your favorite part about being in YPF and how has it benefited you?
I have enjoyed attending Mid-Week Mixers and getting to know other young professionals in Fond du Lac. I have seen benefits in relationship building with people in different industries that care about the community.

How do you engage in our community?
I have been involved in the Fond du Lac School District for 7 years (teaching, coaching, etc.). I have attended YPF & Envision Greater Fond du Lac events. I volunteer with different local organizations. I am also a member of the Fond du Lac Running Club and part-time employee for the Fond du Lac County Veteran Services Office, where I drive veterans to/from the VA appointments.

Share a lesson you have learned or a nugget of advice with other YP’s:
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that lasting success is built on consistency and relationships. Progress doesn’t happen overnight; it comes through steady effort, resilience, and trust. As a teacher and coach, I strive to model this daily—helping students and athletes see that the habits they build and the connections they make will carry them farther than any quick win ever could.

What do you love about the Greater Fond du Lac Area today and what is your hope for its future in the years to come?
I have lived in Fond du Lac since 2018, and I have seen awesome growth throughout the community. The Fond du Lac School District has improved significantly in student proficiency, there have been many local events that have become more popular, and Downtown is being significantly improved. I am excited to be a part of this community for many more years to come.
