What do you enjoy the most about your career? I’ve been fortunate to work in roles that foster creativity and demand constant commitment to enhancing various aspects of the company. I enjoy the challenges that come along with that and the consistently fast paced environments I’m able to work in.
What words of wisdom would you share with other YP’s in relation to career building? Harness your network! The individuals you have developed relationships with throughout your career can continue to have lifelong impacts on your career. Don’t take that for granted and don’t assume you’ve build a big enough network. I’ve always valued finding mutually beneficial ways to capitalize on the professional relationships I’ve built and would encourage everyone to keep an eye on opportunities to support the people in their network. PRO TIP: Nominate them all for Future Five!
Who or what inspires and motivates you to be your best? My children, definitely. I grew up in a very stressful environment so making sure my children don’t feel like that and that their lives are full is important to me. It motivates me to consistently be the best version of myself every day.
What are 3 Characteristics and/or Strengths that make you who you are? I’ve spent a lot of time refining my emotional intelligence, I think it’s a key strength necessary for anyone in a leadership role. I’m also a strong problem solver and quickly adaptable. I’m never afraid to have the tough conversations to find collective positive outcomes.
What is your favorite thing to do in your free time/a hobby you enjoy? I love to work out, but not running. If I’m running, someone’s definitely chasing me. I also enjoy boating or being by the water in the summer and never going outside in the winter.
What is your favorite part about being in YPF and how has it benefited you? My favorite thing about YPF is how many opportunities it can provide if you utilize your membership correctly. YPF has helped me build my personal brand in a way I never thought possible and I have met some of the most influential people in my life at YPF events. I’m forever grateful for the individuals this group has connected me with!
What does community engagement look like for you? For me, community engagement involves fostering dialogue and collaborating with other community members to address issues and make decisions that impact the communities well-being. It can take many forms, but the goal is to ensure that the voices and needs of the community are considered and monitored as a whole. Every individual can help move the needle in a number of ways, but the most valuable piece of community engagement in my mind is supporting other community members and recognizing the common goal.
Share a lesson you have learned or a nugget of advice with other YP’s: Write yourself a 30 second elevator speech that covers the thing most important to you for whenever you meet new people. Sharing your goals with others in a fast and efficient way will guarantee you can reach those goals. You’re building a support group to help push you towards the finish line every step of the way.

It’s refreshing to see how passionate so many businesses and people are about participating in the growth and improvement of our community. I hope that passion continues to ignite others in the community and Fond du Lac can be a hub for passionate, dedicated individuals that support our economic growth and stay rooted in the area long term.
