Young Professional of the Month – February 2018: Taylor Moret

Hometown: Prairie du Chien, WI

Education: Bachelor of Science from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I majored in Interactive Web Management and had minors in Organizational Communications and Radio-TV-Film.

Where do you work, what is your current position and what do you like most about it?

I am a Marketing Coordinator at Society Insurance. What I like most about my job is that it changes daily. One day I may be working on a creative video or promotional piece, and the next I may be at a tradeshow interacting with our customers.

What has YPF done for your personal and/or professional development?

YPF has allowed me to quickly connect with an amazing network of young people in the Fond du Lac community who motivate each other and want to make positive change. The organization has also given me an environment to not only share my ideas and aspirations, but to learn from a wide variety of successful people.

Who or what is your source of professional inspiration?

The source of my professional inspiration comes from a quote: “It’s easier to tone down a wild idea than it is to tone up a boring one.” I love to think outside the box and bring enthusiasm to projects both at work and in the organizations I serve.

What are some of the professional and volunteer groups you participate in?

I am on the following committees: Marketing for the Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund, Steering for the Fond du Lac Marketing Professionals, and Planning for YPWeek 2018. I also volunteer time to Society Insurance’s United Way efforts.

What is your favorite thing to do in the Fond du Lac area?

I can’t choose just one – there’s too many great things happening here! I love taking part in a wide variety of events – Taste of Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac Brewfest, Walleye Weekend, Fondue Fest, the county fair, YP Casino Night, local high school plays and musicals – the list goes on and on!
