At our Boys & Girls Club, RESPONSIBILITY isn’t just a word — it’s a value that shapes everything we do. It fuels our dedication to supporting the community that supports us, a commitment led by our board of directors and leadership team and embraced wholeheartedly by the youth we serve each day.

Our Club members take great pride in making the most of the programs and opportunities available to them — and in finding meaningful ways to give back. Their excitement is contagious whenever a new service opportunity comes along. Here are just a few of the ways our amazing youth have made a positive impact in the community over the past couple of months:
In honor of Veterans Day, Roberts Club members made ribbons for veterans and their families, as well as coloring pictures to give to veterans at their school assembly. Other Club sites created meaningful cards with their families during our Family Supper Nights. The cards were then delivered to organizations in our community who assist veterans with any needs they may have. The goal was simple but powerful: to bring smiles to veterans’ faces and say “thank you” for their service.
Pier Club members created Thank You cards for their incredible custodians and teachers. They wanted to let these special people know that they are truly the best, and we are so thankful for all they do!
Throughout December, Keystone and Torch Club members hosted hot chocolate and cookie sale fundraisers. Every dollar raised through their hard work will go back to local organizations they are passionate about supporting, including local animal rescues. These youth absolutely love having the opportunity to positively impact their community.
Teen Club members contributed their creativity by painting handmade bowls for the Empty Bowls fundraiser in early December. Hosted by Envision Greater Fond du Lac, this community-wide event works to combat hunger while also highlighting the importance of art education and social responsibility. The fundraiser brings the community together to support local food pantries and shelters—and our teens were proud to be part of that mission again this year.
Club sites also participated in the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac’s annual Trees Around the World exhibit. Each site was assigned a themed tree, and members handcrafted ornaments before visiting the museum to decorate. The results were stunning, and we’re always grateful to be part of this cherished community tradition.
Finally, several Club members, along with staff and board members, spent time ringing bells for the Salvation Army at various locations throughout the holiday season. Between singing Christmas carols, spreading cheer, and raising funds, the kids had a blast while supporting the year-round services the Salvation Army provides to those in need.
