Young Professionals of Fond du Lac Names Jon Venhuizen Young Professional of the Year

Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF) named Jon Venhuizen of SIA Insurance Services of Waupun their Young Professional of the Year at the Future 5 Awards banquet on January 19.

“I am humbled to be recognized and included in such an outstanding group of my peers,” Venhuizen, said. “Our young professionals are working diligently to make our communities places we want to live and work. I’m grateful to be able to join in that work to create a community my children get to grow up in and future generations can enjoy.”

Venhuizen is a Partner and Financial Consultant at SIA Insurance Services and is involved in many different organizations in the Fond du Lac area including Pillar & Vine, Waupun Kiwanis Club, and Fondy 100 Gives. He is also a Fond du Lac County Board Supervisor serving the Waupun and Oakfield areas. He currently lives in Waupun with his wife and two children.

YPF established the Future 5 Awards in 2013 as a way to support and recognize upcoming leaders in the community. This award is presented to five area young professionals ages 21-40 who are presently growing and excelling in their respective fields and will continue to positively influence the growth, prosperity, and quality of life in Fond du Lac County well into the future. The 2022 Future 5 also included: Charlie Kudy, Village Administrator, Village of Campbellsport; Michael Leb, President, LEB Insurance Group; Josh Michels, Director of Manufacturing; Wisconsin Lighting Lab, Inc. (WiLL); and Becca Schumacher, Marketing Manager, Wisconsin Lighting Lab, Inc. (WiLL).

YPF, a program of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, was established in 2004 and strives towards its mission to engage and empower current and future leaders in the Fond du Lac area through professional development, networking, and social opportunities. Currently, YPF has more than 600 members.
