Envision Greater Fond du Lac is hosting two informational sessions for Fond du Lac County businesses looking to learn more about the Youth Apprenticeship (YA) program.
The YA program is part of a statewide initiative and an innovative way for local businesses to develop their talent pipeline or fill current open positions. Youth Apprenticeships are available to high school juniors and seniors with pathways in the fields of: agriculture, food and natural resources; architecture and construction; art, av technology and communications; finance; health services; hospitality and tourism; information technology; manufacturing; marketing; science, technology, engineering and math (STEM); and transportation, distribution and logistics.
The informational sessions will provide information on employer responsibilities and student labor laws, as well as offer an opportunity for questions. Youth Apprenticeship 101 for Businesses will be held on:
- Tuesday, February 12, 2019 – 5:30 p.m. at Envision Greater Fond du Lac, 23 S. Main Street, Suite 101, Fond du Lac. – CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER
- Tuesday, February 26, 2019 – 5:30 p.m. at Envision Greater Fond du Lac, 23 S. Main Street, Suite 101, Fond du Lac.
- Tuesday, March 5, 2019 – 7:30 a.m. at Envision Greater Fond du Lac, 23 S. Main Street, Suite 101, Fond du Lac.
