Lighting technology company broke ground on the first phase of the project, slated to be finished in Q3 2022
Wisconsin Lighting Lab, Inc. (WiLL), a company specializing in high-output LED lighting, professional-grade light poles and wireless lighting controls, is excited to announce a nearly $5 million manufacturing operations expansion, which broke ground earlier this week at WiLL’s Lighting Campus.
The first stage of an approximately five-year project, WiLL recently acquired four lots surrounding the current facility which not only doubles the company’s footprint on Brooke Street, but also helps to revitalize the area. In total, the investment – combined with the addition of process engineering, technology upgrades and a future powder coat finishing line – aims to increase WiLL’s production tenfold over the next decade.
“In an increasingly digital world, it’s important to remember that somebody has to make stuff, and Wisconsin is as good at that as anybody,” said Adam Rupp, President of Wisconsin Lighting Lab. “We’re proud to have Wisconsin in our name, and WiLL is proud to be a group of makers who play a key role in fusing digital marketing with digital manufacturing. So much of our growth and investments the past 10-15 years have been intangible; it’s really cool to see it manifest in a physical form.”
By far the largest investment in WiLL’s history, the project is a clear signal of leadership’s commitment to the Wisconsin
Lighting Lab team, community, customers and products. The expansion will be 100 percent privately funded, and WiLL
has partnered with Excel Engineering, Keller, Inc. and Hometown Bank for design, construction and financing of the
project.
“It is an incredibly exciting time for everyone at WiLL! We are honored to be their design/build construction partner, bring
their vision to life and play a small part in setting the company up for future success,” said Bob Poch, Corporate Manager
at Keller, Inc.
WiLL is committed to its Wisconsin roots, maintaining its dedication to producing the industry’s best mix of lighting
products with components sourced from vendors across the state. To learn more about Wisconsin Lighting Lab, its
