The communities of Waupun, Ripon, North Fond du Lac, and Campbellsport, in collaboration with Envision Greater Fond du Lac, are proud to announce the launch of the WRNC Business Opportunity Fund, a powerful new initiative to fuel local business growth, encourage innovation, and strengthen the economic vitality of the region.

The WRNC Opportunity Fund — established through a competitive grant by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation — is designed to provide flexible, low-interest loans to support startups and expansions across these vibrant communities. The goal: to empower local enterprises to expand, innovate, and thrive.

This initiative highlights the strength of collaboration among four dedicated leaders: Kathy Schlieve, City Administrator for the City of Waupun; Adam Sonntag, City Administrator for the City of Ripon; Nick Leonard, Village Administrator for Village of North Fond du Lac; and Charlie Kudy, Village Administrator for the Village of  Campbellsport. By combining their resources, expertise, and shared vision, they are creating new opportunities for businesses to grow, create jobs, and build a stronger future across their communities.

The WRNC Opportunity Fund offers:

  • Flexible financing options for expansion, equipment, working capital, or startup costs.
  • Competitive rates and terms are designed to meet the needs of local businesses.
  • Quick, local decision-making to ensure timely support for applicants.

By investing directly in the local business community, the fund will serve as a catalyst for sustainable growth and innovation throughout these key areas of Fond du Lac County.
