von Briesen & Roper, s.c., today announced that six lawyers and one non-lawyer professional recently joined the firm in locations throughout Wisconsin.

Three Eau Claire lawyers joined the firm, Mindy K. Dale, Lindsey S.M. Minser and David A. Richie. The Milwaukee office added two lawyers, Kelly L. Krause and Sumeeta A. Krishnaney. The Neenah office added one lawyer, Mmeli Obi. The Green Bay office added one non-lawyer professional, Pamela W. Schneider (CPA, JD, LL.M, CMA).

Mindy K. Dale is an Eau Claire-based lawyer working out of the firm’s Madison office. She is a member of the Government Law Group, where she focuses her practice on labor relations, labor and employment, municipal law, and school law. Dale represents both public and private sector employers throughout Northwest and West Central Wisconsin.

Dale is a member of the Chippewa Valley Society of Human Resource Management. She earned a J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Indiana University Law School and a B.S. from Indiana University. She resides in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Lindsey S.M. Minser is an Eau Claire-based lawyer working out of the firm’s Madison office. She is a member of the Government Law Group focusing on school law and municipal law. She advises school district officials on student related issues, including special education and accommodation issues under the IDEA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, FERPA and pupil records, student discipline, open enrollment, and family law issues. Minser utilizes her prior prosecutorial experience to represent municipalities in a variety of litigation matters.

Minser serves on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin School Attorneys Association (WSAA), the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin, and the Advisory Board of the Western Wisconsin Women’s Business Center. She earned a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She resides in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

David A. Richie is an Eau Claire-based lawyer working out of the firm’s Madison office. He is a member of the Government Law Group, where he focuses his practice on labor relations, labor and employment, municipal law, and school law. Richie also is a member of the Labor and Employment Section where he represents both private and governmental entities.

Richie earned a J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin. He is licensed in both Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Kelly L. Krause is a member of the Business Practice Group and the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Right Section in the firm’s Milwaukee office. Krause focuses her practice on transactional matters and various aspects of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial contracts. She also helps businesses navigating Chapter 11 restructuring and other issues under federal bankruptcy law and Wisconsin creditor-debtor law.

Krause earned a J.D., cum laude, and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Marquette University. She resides in Waterford, Wisconsin.

Sumeeta A. Krishnaney is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section in the firm’s Milwaukee office. Krishnany concentrates her practice on estate planning, including special needs planning and guardianships, charitable estate planning and business succession planning.

Krishnaney serves on the Board of Trustees for University School of Milwaukee, the Advisory Board and Executive Committee for Best Buddies Wisconsin, an organization providing programs for individuals with and without disabilities in Wisconsin, and is a member of the Attorney Advisory Council for WisPACT, Inc., a private nonprofit organization that administers pooled and community Special Needs Trusts for people with disabilities. Krishnaney earned a J.D. from Marquette University, an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a B.A. from the University of Rochester. She resides in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Mmeli Obi is a member of the Litigation and Risk Management Practice Group in the Neenah and Green Bay offices. Prior to law school, she worked for over ten years as a Senior Loan Analyst for a finance company in Ripon, Wisconsin. Obi earned a J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a B.S., with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin. She resides in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Pamela W. Schneider is a member of the Business Practice Group in the firm’s Green Bay office where she assists with trust and estate administration, tax and business advisory services. Schneider is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and also holds an LL.M, Doctorate Master’s of Tax. Schneider was formerly a partner with a large national accounting firm where she assisted clients with tax, estate/inheritance and gift planning and compliance for over 30 years. She is an inactive member of the Illinois Bar.

Schneider serves on the Planned Giving Committee at St. Norbert College and on the Board for the YWCA of Green Bay. Schneider earned a J.D. and LL.M. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She resides in De Pere, Wisconsin.
