Senior Delanie Vogt of Marian University women’s bowling has been selected as the CCIW Bowler of the Week for her efforts at the McKendree Bearcat Classic.
Vogt (Horicon, Wis.) opened the event with a strong ball-striking day, rolling a 55 percent strike rate and a 90 percent fill percentage. She followed that effort with a traditional block on Saturday, averaging 207.6 across five games to place third in a field of 120 competitors. Her fill rate improved to 91 percent, while maintaining a 50 percent strike rate. On day three, Vogt continued her steady play, finishing with a 47 percent strike rate, a 91 percent single-pin conversion rate, and only four open frames. For the event, Vogt posted a 91 percent single-pin conversion rate, a 51 percent overall strike percentage and an 80 percent multi-pin conversion rate.
