A collaboration between Salute the Troops of Fond du lac and Venture Project of Oshkosh

Salute the Troops, in collaboration with Venture Project, will host Vetrepreneur Project, a project aimed to help support local veterans with an entrepreneurial spirit and achieve their dream of financial independence. The deadline to apply is September 16, 2022.

This program offers local veteran entrepreneurs the opportunity to attend a seven week small business accelerator program hosted by Venture Project, and powered by Salute the Troops, Inc. At the end of the seven week educational program, veterans who complete the entire program will have an opportunity to “demo” or pitch their business in front of a panel of judges for a chance to earn $5000 in seed funding from Salute the Troops, Inc.

“Salute the Troops is historically known as an organization that helps veterans in their time of need”, Jason Turner, Executive Director, Salute the Troops,Inc.said. “This program affords veterans the opportunity to follow their dreams of small business ownership by providing the necessary tools to be successful on their own.”

Each veteran who completes the program will be given one year of free access to Salute the Troops’ subscription-based co-working space in Fond du Lac (Wisconsin) which offers many amenities such as free wi-fi and printing; desk and computer usage; conference room access; direct links to a network of professional services such as consultants, tax professionals, marketing agencies, and professional development coaches.

The Vetrepreneur Project is also open to additional investors who are interested in providing funding or partnerships opportunities to veterans.
