Upset bid falls short for Sabre women’s soccer in NACC Semifinals

  • The opening 30 minutes of the match were competitive with each team firing multiple shots.
  • MSOE would open the scoring at the 38:58 mark with a goal off of a corner kick.
  • This lone score held up through the opening stanza.
  • The Raiders were able to start strong in the opening 20 minutes, but the Sabres were able to keep the deficit to one goal.
  • The Sabre offense would struggle to find possession for most of the second half, however, leading to the postseason elimination for Marian.

  • Marian became just the second NACC opponent to hold MSOE to less than two goals this season in the defeat.
  • The Raider defense held Marian to zero shots on goal, while MSOE had 13 shots on frame.

  • The Sabres finish the season with the most conference victories in the NACC era and the third-highest win total in program history.
