Marian University softball (10-6, 4-2 NACC) was defeated by Dominican 4-0 and 2-0 to open the weekend.

GAME 1

•  Dominican plated a run in the opening inning but the game was mostly a pitching duel from there.
• The Sabres threatened in the fourth inning putting a pair of runners in scoring position, but a double play from the Stars ended the threat.
• The Stars took advantage in the bottom half scoring two runs to lead 3-0.
• Dominican would tack on a run in the sixth and allowed just one Marian base runner over the final three innings.

GAME 2

• Both pitching staffs continued to deal in game two with neither squad scoring through the first three innings.
• In the end, all it took was a run in the fourth and a run in the fifth for the Stars to secure a sweep.
• The Stars would allow only one Sabre to reach scoring position in the second inning.

	Freshman McKenna Repovich tossed 2.0 innings of relief in the first game allowing just two hits.
	Senior Cailie Pliner (4-2) tossed her third complete game of the season in game two allowing just one earned run.
