Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts (THELMA) announces today a new start date for the 11 Thursdays of Summer Concert Series. The kickoff concert with the band Maple Road is set for June 25.
The series is possible to so many sponsors including the presenting sponsor, Fox Valley Savings Banks.
Two other concerts have been rescheduled. Five Card Studs is now set to perform August 27 and Tweed is set for September 3. The rest of the summer lineup remains the same as scheduled. See full concert lineup and details at thelmaarts.org.
“We want to offer the summer concerts for our community, but we need to do it safely and responsibly,” said Jacqui Corsi, THELMA’s Executive Director. “We greatly appreciate your patience with the changes to the evening.”
THELMA’s first priority continues to be health and safety of our community. THELMA staff is making every effort to encourage social distancing and to provide touchless transactions.
THELMA will limit capacity to 250 people, and all must be 21 or older. Each week a ticket will be required to enter at a fee of $5 to ensure not going over capacity limits. Admission includes one fandana mask (while supplies last) and one “Free Spin” on the prize wheel at THELMA’s promotional table.
Admission fees may be purchased in advance at thelmaarts.org, or by stopping at THELMA during Box Office hours. There will not be Will Call during the night of the events, however, if there are tickets remaining, they may be purchased at the gate.
Other changes include temperature checks at the gate, and all clear bags. Anyone with the temperature over 100 degrees F will not be permitted inside the event. All bags and purses must be clear and will be checked as no carry-ins are permitted. Bag chairs are permitted but guests will be required to completely open them up before entering the event space.
Hand sanitizer will be available for guests throughout the event and all patrons, except those who rent Marguerite’s Lookout on THELMA’s top level, must remain in the street.
There will be two entrances into the event – one at each end of the block on Sheboygan Street – Marr Street and Portland Street.
“We are doing our best to focus on what we can do now, what we can plan for, and how we can bring you a great summer,” Corsi said. “Our mission is to continue enriching our community through the arts and we believe in these uncertain times, people need the arts more than ever, so we are following all guidelines to make it as safe as possible. THELMA is located at 51 Sheboygan St., in the heart of Downtown Fond du Lac’s Arts and Entertainment District. THELMA is a member-based, privately funded non-profit dedicated to providing arts experiences not readily available in the area. Intimate concerts in the Great Hall, street concerts with major performers, indoor films, and art from world-renowned artists are available at THELMA. THELMA also offers a stunning backdrop for weddings, meetings, and all social and corporate gatherings.
