Thelma Sadoff Center For The Arts Announces New Executive Director: Dr. Paul Krikau

Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts (THELMA) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Paul Krikau, Ph.D., as its new Executive Director.

Dr. Krikau brings over 20 years of leadership experience in higher education, arts programming, and community engagement. He recently served as Dean of Students at Marian University in Fond du Lac, where he sourced and secured arts and entertainment events, negotiated performance contracts, and developed deep partnerships with internal and community stakeholders. A practicing artist himself, Dr. Krikau has also overseen budgets, led strategic initiatives, and fostered team development across institutions.

In previous leadership roles—including Director of Residential Life at Indiana University South Bend—Dr. Krikau implemented structural improvements that significantly boosted staff retention and student engagement. His work to establish a Veteran Services Center at Marian, in collaboration with community partners, demonstrates his commitment to mission-driven service and inclusive access.

Kate Candee, President of THELMA’s Board of Directors, expressed her strong support for the new leader:

“Having worked closely with Paul during his time at Marian University, I saw firsthand his integrity, creativity, and ability to bring people together around a shared vision. He understands how to build community through the arts, and I have every confidence he will guide THELMA into an exciting new chapter.”

Dr. Krikau’s passion for the arts, combined with his strategic and operational leadership skills, positions him to drive THELMA’s continued growth as a vibrant cultural destination in the region.

“I am inspired by THELMA’s mission and the impact it has on Fond du Lac and beyond,” said Dr. Krikau. “It’s an honor to join an organization that plays such a vital role in the cultural and creative life of this community.”

THELMA would like to take this opportunity to thank Fond du Lac for coming out in record numbers for One Night of Queen last Friday. Enriching the community through the arts is THELMA’s mission, and the community really gave back that night!
