Marian University women’s volleyball (8-15, 2-5 NACC) was swept by Benedictine in NACC action and fell to Coe in five sets.

AT BENEDICTINE (L – 25-21, 25-18, 25-14)
- Benedictine was able to jump out to a big lead on the Sabres at 11-5 after scoring seven unanswered points.
- Marian was able to trim its deficit down to two at 21-19 courtesy of a 6-1 run later in the set.
- The Eagles were able to hold off the surge and finished the set scoring four of the final six points.
- The second set saw Marian only trail 13-11 but the Eagles were able to pull away with an 8-1 spurt.
- The third set was similar as Benedictine opened with an 11-7 lead and pulled away after a scoring run of 10-2.
VS. COE (L – 20-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-22, 15-11)
- Marian had a 2-1 sets lead in a neutral match against Coe but the Sabres would drop its fourth match this season in five sets.
- The Sabres used a 6-2 run to lead 19-13 to open the match against Coe.
- After the Kohawks tied the set at 19-19, Marian rallied to end the set with a 6-1 run.
- The Kohawks opened the second set with a 14-4 lead.
- Marian used an 8-1 run later in the set and trimmed its deficit to as small as three, but Coe was able to even the sets.
- After an 11-8 Coe lead opened the third, Marian went on a 12-4 spurt to lead 20-15.
- The Sabre lead was cut down to two, but Marian was able to sway the momentum and take the third with a 5-2 run.
- The fourth set was a seesaw battle that saw the Kohawks force a fifth set after ending the set with a 4-2 spurt.
- The largest lead in the fifth set was only three points until the end and saw Coe lead 10-9 before ending the match on a 4-1 run.

- Kills were nearly even with Lakeland holding a slim 39-37 advantage, while the Sabres had more digs at a 49-46 clip.
- The Sabre offense only hit .067 and had 29 hitting errors to only nine for Lakeland.
- Marian had six aces from the service line.
- Lakeland improves to 43-16 all-time against Marian with wins in the last nine matches.
