Today, Senator Dan Feyen (R-Fond du Lac), released the following statement after voting on the Senate floor against the appointment of Meagan Wolfe to serve as Administrator of the Wisconsin Elections Commission.
“Today I voted against the appointment of Meagan Wolfe to serve as Administrator of the Wisconsin Elections Commission.
“Several weeks ago, the Senate Committee on Shared Revenue, Elections and Consumer Protection met to hear testimony on the appointment of Ms. Wolfe. Instead of appearing in front of the committee to defend her job performance, Ms. Wolfe decided to not even show up, denying me and my colleagues the opportunity to hear from her. Instead, we heard from dozens of individuals who shared concerns and discontent with her performance.
“Ms. Wolfe has shown blatant disregard for the appointment process and the Senate’s well-defined role in that process. My vote today reflects Ms. Wolfe’s blatant contempt for the legislative process and the lack of faith that the people of Wisconsin have in Meagan Wolfe.”
