SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, Health Plaza A, is pleased to welcome Trenton VandeWater, MD, a board-certified physiatrist specializing in sports medicine. 

Dr. VandeWater provides comprehensive care for patients with musculoskeletal and nerve-related conditions. His practice focuses on restoring function, reducing pain, and helping individuals maintain active, healthy lifestyles. He specializes in minimally invasive and non-operative procedures including ultrasound-guided platelet-rich plasma injections, cryoneurolysis, and percutaneous tenotomy.  

Dr. VandeWater earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where he also completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He further advanced his expertise by completing a sports medicine fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. 

“Physical medicine and rehabilitation emphasize restoring and maintaining function while improving patients’ quality of life,” says Dr. VandeWater. “I value the opportunity to provide personalized, meaningful care that can be tailored to each individual’s goals and needs.” 

Dr. VandeWater treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist, hip, knee, foot and ankle, neck, and back pain. He also specializes in diagnosing and treating certain nerve-related conditions, such as radiculopathy and carpal tunnel syndrome, including evaluations using electromyography (EMG) testing. 

Dr. VandeWater encourages patients not to delay seeking care for pain or mobility concerns. 

“It’s never too early or too late to come in for an evaluation,” he says. “Advances in procedures, techniques, and technologies continue to expand treatment options, and we may be able to offer solutions that weren’t available in the past.”
