SSM Health welcomes Alyssa Stephenson, DPM, a podiatrist (foot and ankle specialist) who is now seeing patients at the SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic at 608 W. Brown Street in Waupun.

Dr. Stephenson, a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon, diagnoses and treats disorders, diseases and injuries of the foot, ankle and lower leg. She is dedicated to getting patients back on their feet and back into their lives.

She specializes in a variety of foot ailments and issues, including: reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, arthritis, arthroscopy, nerve injuries, sports injuries, fracture care, Achilles tendon disorders, bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, plantar fasciitis, heel pain, bone spurs, ingrown toenails, toenail fungus, diabetic limb salvage, pinched nerves, flat feet, diabetic foot care, warts, wound care, pediatric conditions, trauma, occupational foot and ankle care, and ankle replacements.  

Dr. Stephenson earned her podiatric medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, and podiatric surgical residency at the St. John North Shores Hospital in Harrison Township, Michigan. She is board certified in Foot Surgery, and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.

She is returning to SSM Health after spending five years in Phoenix as an attending at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center.

Dr. Stephenson will be working with all ages to help manage a variety of foot and ankle concerns.

“I want to be a resource for my patients,” Dr. Stephenson says. “I enjoy working with each individual patient in developing a treatment plan that addresses their needs and helps them reach their goals as quickly as possible.”

Dr. Stephenson and her husband, John de Montmollin, have relocated to Fond du Lac, and they have three children: John, Tommy, and Vivian. She enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, and golfing.
