SSM Health is giving $5,000 to Dodge County Human Services and Health department to support its Family Fest, a resource fair designed to connect Dodge County residents with local services that improve health and well-being.
More than 300 people participated in the June 25 annual event.
Family Fest brings together governmental and non-governmental organizations that provide free or reduced-cost services to families, ensuring that residents are aware of and have access to vital community resources. The event features giveaways, information booths, food, games, and family-friendly activities to engage attendees and encourage participation.
“While there are individual organizations that offer resource events, Family Fest is unique in its comprehensive, all-in-one approach,” according to Roman Mullen, Dodge County Human Services and Health public health officer. “Family Fest brings together multiple sectors – including health care, education, housing, and social services – into one accessible event. This broad outreach ensures that families receive a well-rounded set of resources tailored to their needs, eliminating barriers to access.”
Improving community health is a collective effort, according to Nicole Gill, SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital/SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital vice president, clinical administrator.
“This event really demonstrates the positive outcomes that can occur when multiple community partners come together with a common goal,” according to Gill. “It’s truly valuable when we can make access to needed resources so much easier for individuals and families with the goal of enhancing the lives of all those we serve.”

In 2024, SSM Health’s local community benefit ministry totaled more than $568,000 across the communities it serves. This investment helps ensure access to health care for patients who are uninsured or underinsured, train the next generation of health professionals to care for those in need, and fund programs to address the most pressing health needs of our communities.
