SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital, 845 Parkside Street, team members will be sharing free Medical Power of Attorney information and providing assistance from 10 am – 2 pm on Wednesday, May 22 in the hospital’s Commons (near the gift shop).

Deb Toth, an SSM Health advance care planning specialist, will be on-site with free information about advance care planning and advance directive forms.

These free sessions will be available the fourth Wednesday of each month from 10 am – 2 pm through August.

“It’s important that individuals have thoughtful conversations about their health care decisions and complete reliable advance directives to make their wishes known,” according to Toth. “Fewer families and health care providers will have to struggle with making difficult health care decisions in the absence of guidance from the patient, and health care providers and facilities will be better equipped to address advance healthcare planning issues before a crisis and be better able to honor patient wishes when the time comes to do so.”
