SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital Day Stabilization Services welcomes new provider 

The SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital Day Stabilization Services, 845 Parkside Street, Ripon, welcomes Racheal Bergmann, LCSW, CSAC, a psychotherapist.  

Day Stabilization Services is available to help individuals experiencing any of these common concerns: depression, mood disturbances, anxiety, stress, grief reactions, psychosis, distortion or disconnection from reality, and more. 

Outpatient hospital services are offered to individuals 18 years and above with an urgent need of care for mental health crises. This service provides immediate access to behavioral health care to address non-emergent issues. 

As a psychotherapist, Bergmann will assist Day Stabilization Services patients address their specific mental health challenges and symptoms by helping a person understand their repressed feelings and equipping them to face new challenges both in the present and future. 

She earned her associate degree in substance abuse counseling from Moraine Park Technical College, and a master’s degree at UW-Milwaukee. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).  

Bergmann brings her passion for mental health to this new position. “I enjoyed working with people in helping them achieve their financial goals,” she says. “I decided I wanted to focus on behavioral health as I noticed this seemed to be a struggle with the people I worked with.” 

In her time with Ripon Community Hospital’s Day Stabilization Services, she is looking forward to her connections with patients. “I validate their feelings and try to normalize their experiences while individualizing my approach to their therapy. I also enjoy spending time with my patients to help them feel heard and to get to know them as a person.” 

Outside of her clinical practice, Bergmann enjoys running, reading, and traveling – in particular Arizona. She volunteers with the American Red Cross and Armed Forces.  

“My work is so motivational to me when I see patients start to make changes, even if they are small and incremental, to live a healthier life,” she says. “I also enjoy when a patient gets excited about their progress and conveys this to me.”
