The SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital Day Stabilization Services, 845 Parkside Street, Ripon, welcomes Jessica Garcia, DNP, PMHNP-BC, advanced practice nurse practitioner.

Day Stabilization Services is available to help individuals experiencing any of these common concerns: depression, mood disturbances, anxiety, stress, grief reactions, psychosis, distortion or disconnection from reality, and more.

Outpatient hospital services are offered to individuals 18 years and above with an urgent need of care for mental health crises. This service provides immediate access to behavioral health care to address non-emergent issues.

Jessica earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois, and a doctor of nursing practice – psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree from Rush University Medical Center – College of Nursing in Chicago. She is board certified by the American Nurses Association. Jessica has a special interest in trauma and substance abuse.

Jessica brings her passion for mental health to this new position. “I bring with me an open mind and a willingness to take the time to truly hear and listen to my patients,” she says. “I am compassionate about patient advocacy and closing the barrier for patients that struggle to be heard and understood. I manage their treatment with empathy and compassion.”

Ripon Community Hospital’s Day Stabilization Services brings a new level of care in a rural setting. “I look forward to collaborating with other health care professionals to bring mental health resources to rural communities, which allows us to decrease barriers and address ongoing health care disparities.”

Outside of her clinical practice, Jessica enjoys spending time with her very active daughter who is involved in water skiing and volleyball, as well as summer days at the lake and visits to Six Flags and concerts.
