SSM Health Pharmacy Waupun pharmacist receives BEE Award

Christie Brossard, an SSM Health Pharmacy pharmacist in Waupun, has been named the newest recipient of the BEE (Be Exceptional Everyday) Award.

Brossard was nominated by a colleague. Her nomination shared, “A member of our long-term care staff received a text from a patient stating they forgot to pick up a family member’s bubble pack. The patient was out of meds and needed to start the bubble pack right away. Due to the pharmacy already being closed, the technician reached out to the closest pharmacist that had access to the pharmacy. That pharmacist is Christie Brossard. Christie dropped everything she was doing and loaded up her three children (all under five) and drove to Waupun to pick up the bubble pack and deliver it to the patient’s home. When Christie arrived at the home, she found out the parents were elsewhere and had to wait until someone at the home could verify patient identifiers. Christie has gone out of her way countless times to make sure our patients get the best care. Way to go Christie. Thank you for everything you do; your recognition for outstanding care and service is long overdue.”

The BEE Award is specifically designed to recognize non-nursing staff members who demonstrate great teamwork and communication skills, collaboration, professionalism, exemplary service, and a commitment to excellence.
