The SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, 608 W. Brown Street in Waupun, is pleased to welcome board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist Karen Meyer, MD, who will start seeing patients the week of January 23, 2023. She will also see patients at the SSM Health Physician Offices, 130 Corporate Drive, Beaver Dam. 

Dr. Meyer will serve with Scott Hansfield, MD, a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist with the SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, as he prepares to retire in 2023. She will also serve with Amanda Hiemstra, APNP, a nurse practitioner who also sees patients in Beaver Dam and Waupun. 

As an obstetrician/gynecologist, Dr. Meyer provides comprehensive health care services to women of all ages, including pregnancy and childbirth, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the female reproductive system, and management of perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms. 

Dr. Meyer has previously served for more than 17 years with the SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic.  

A graduate of the St. George’s University School of Medicine, Dr. Meyer completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. 

“The value of patient care comes down to the relationships I am able to cultivate with my patients,” says Dr. Meyer.  

Dr. Meyer enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and getting outside whenever possible to appreciate the beauty of nature.  

“I am looking forward to growing the patient population we can serve in Waupun and Beaver Dam,” she says. “It is a privilege to be an OB/GYN to these women. I am excited to have this honor.”
