The SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic is welcoming Theresa Hollnagel, PA-C, a urology certified physician assistant, to its 420 E. Division Street facility. She is now accepting patients. 

As a certified physician assistant, Hollnagel treats diseases and malfunctions of the bladder, prostate, and kidneys. She has a special interest in the treatment of kidney stones, prostate cancer, prostate gland enlargement, elevated PSA, male lower urinary tract symptoms, urinary retention, and hematuria (blood in the urine). 

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Hollnagel is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Urological Association of Physician Assistants. 

Hollnagel chose urology as it offered her all aspects of care she enjoys, including surgery, outpatient clinic, procedures, and inpatient management.  

“When working with my patients, I use language they can understand to explain their condition or situation, avoiding confusing medical terminology,” according to Hollnagel. “I draw pictures. I reassure. I use eye contact. It’s important that I explain all aspects of a given procedure beforehand and during so that patients can have their questions addressed and can feel comfortable with our next steps.” 

With all patient care, Hollnagel finds great satisfaction in helping patients with a health concern that is interfering with their quality of life. 

During her free time, Hollnagel enjoys cooking, baking, music, gardening, dancing, card and board games, farmers markets, and visiting tropical locations.
