SSM Health Dermatology now offering SkinPen® microneedling services, natural approach to healthier skin

Becky Casper, RE, a registered electrologist/laser technician with the SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic Dermatology at 145 N. Main Street in Fond du Lac, is now offering SkinPen® microneedling services, a minimally invasive, FDA‑approved treatment designed to improve skin texture, tone, and overall skin health.

SkinPen® microneedling works by creating controlled micro‑injuries to stimulate the body’s natural healing response. This process increases collagen production and supports the regeneration of healthier, more radiant skin.

“Microneedling is an FDA‑approved procedure that uses very controlled, tiny micro‑incisions to activate your skin’s natural healing abilities,” according to Casper. “If you struggle with blemishes, large pores, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, or darkened spots, SkinPen can help minimize those concerns. It can also reduce redness and support a more even skin tone.”

Casper says the treatment not only addresses visible imperfections but works deeper to improve long‑term skin health.

“It’s really good for building healthy new collagen, which gives people stronger, more resilient skin,” she says. “I see a lot of women who wish they had known about this option sooner. It can truly be life‑changing for many.”

Because every skin concern is unique, treatment plans vary. “It’s very individualized,” Casper explains. “For acne scarring, most people benefit from a series of three to six treatments. If the goal is simply to boost collagen and support overall skin health, one session may be enough.”

Treatment sessions are quick, typically lasting about 30 to 60 minutes depending on the area being treated.

Casper says what she appreciates most about SkinPen is that it works with the body.

“It’s such a natural process. You’re encouraging your body to do what it already knows how to do: heal itself,” she said. “Helping people feel more confident in their skin is incredibly rewarding.”

Patients can schedule directly with Casper. “If you’ve never had microneedling or want more information before deciding, I offer a no‑charge consultation,” she shares. “During that visit, I explain the procedure, what to do before and after, and what to expect during healing.”
