SSM Health chiropractor returning to The World Games 2025 FICS Team

Bryan Henslin, DC, MS, an SSM Health chiropractor, is returning for a second time to The World Games in August – this time in Chengdu, China as part of the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS) team.

Dr. Henslin is one of 53 professionals selected to provide chiropractic care to elite athletes competing across 34 sports, 60 disciplines and 255 medal events. He will be practicing with some of the best chiropractors from around the world.

In 2022 as part of The World Games in Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Henslin and the FICS team treated more than 3,400 athletes from many different countries, participating in over 30 multidisciplinary sports ranging from inline speed skating to sumo wrestling, to name a few.

The World Games is an international sporting event held every four years, in the year following each Summer Olympic Games. Held over 11 days, The World Games represents the highlight of competition for 3,600 of the world’s best athletes in over 30 unique, multi-disciplinary sports.

The World Games provides a highly visible stage on which athletes from more than 100 countries compete for gold in their unique sporting events. The World Games is led by the International World Games Association (IWGA), a non-profit organization that is composed of 37 International Sports Federations and recognized by The International Olympic Committee (IOC).

FICS have a strong and longstanding partnership with the International World Games Association (IWGA), spanning 20 years since the 2005 Games in Duisburg Germany.

“I’m excited to be selected to the sports chiropractic delegation for the 2025 World Games,” Dr. Henslin says. “It has always been a goal for me to work an elite, international event and share my skills, experience and talents with my colleagues and these high-level athletes. It’s amazing that I can do this for a second consecutive time. My last experience taught me about a variety of new sports and the unique aspects that go into their training and recovery. It was an experience of incredible memories, growing, learning, meeting new people and making life-long friendships with some of the best sports chiropractors from around the world.”
