Spring Season has Sprung at THELMA!

The National Exchange Bank Foundation Great Hall Spring Season is well into a spring season that has already delivered some truly unforgettable nights, and the best is still to come.

The season kicked off with a Celtic bang, courtesy of The Kissers, who brought their signature blend of historical Irish tradition and pop-punk energy to the Great Hall stage. Equal parts foot-stomping and thought-provoking, the band rocked the house with a set that spanned decades (centuries!) of Celtic and Americana storytelling while keeping things very much alive in the present.

Next came Joyann Parker, who treated audiences to an intimate and illuminating journey through the lives of the Classic Ladies of Country. But if you thought it would be a quiet evening, think again, Parker closed the night with an encore that showcased her powerhouse blues rock voice, leaving the crowd on their feet and the roof barely intact.

The spring season is far from over. JazzFest is on the horizon (April 8-11), bringing an incredible lineup including the incomparable Tierney Sutton (presented by JazzCoterie) on April 8, A Night of Ella Fitzgerald presented by Brad Curran on April 9, the soulful and theatrical Davina and the Vagabonds on April 10, and the always-entertaining Steve March-Tormé on April 11. Jazz lovers are in for a treat.

Rounding out the season in May is rising star Allison Mahal on May 15, a singer-songwriter whose talent and originality signal a very bright future. It’s the perfect note on which to close a remarkable spring.

And just when you think you can catch your breath, summer is already on the way. The THELMA Thursday lineup is coming together, and you won’t want to miss the announcement. Stay tuned to your emails and follow the Great Hall on social media for all the details.

Spring at the Great Hall is a reminder of why live music matters. Come experience it for yourself.
