Brian Anderson has been elected with Adam Olijnyk elected as his alternate
Society Insurance is proud to announce that two members of its risk control team have been elected to serve on the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 96 Committee on Venting Systems for Cooking Appliances. Brian Anderson, Senior Risk Control Representative, will serve as a committee member and Adam Olijnyk, also a Senior Risk Control Representative, has been elected as his alternate.
This NFPA 96 committee has primary responsibility for developing standards related to fire safety in the design, installation and use of exhaust systems for commercial cooking operations. This includes a focus on fire safety, exhaust systems and fire extinguishing systems. Their work is essential in preventing costly mishaps and ensuring the safety of staff and patrons.
Anderson and Olijnyk bring extensive experience in risk control and a deep understanding of fire protection systems. Their involvement will help shape standards that are especially relevant to Society Insurance policyholders in the food and beverage service industry.
“Brian and Adam bring a wealth of knowledge and a strong commitment to excellence,” said Patrick O’Brien, risk control manager. “We look forward to their insights and leadership as we work together to achieve our safety goals.”
The Society Insurance risk control team remains committed to advancing safety standards and contributing to the development of NFPA requirements that directly impact commercial kitchen operations. With representation on this committee, Society Insurance has a voice in shaping the future of fire protection in the foodservice industry.
