State Senator Dan Feyen (R-Fond du Lac) was presented today with the “Friend of Grocers” award from the Wisconsin Grocers Association. The award was presented to Senator Feyen at Kwik Trip in Winneconne, WI.
The “Friend of Grocers” award is given to legislators who score highly on the WGA’s Legislative Scorecard – an extensive study of all legislators’ performance in the 2021-2022 Legislative Session. Lawmakers are graded according to their actions on certain issues that are especially important to the grocery industry, including: alcohol pickup and delivery, personal property tax repeal and several other key business issues.
Senator Feyen has received numerous Friend of Grocers awards over the years. “Senator Feyen has been a strong advocate for all small businesses through his efforts and leadership to repeal the personal property tax,” said Mike Semmann, WGA Vice President Government Affairs, who presented the award. “In addition, specific to the grocery industry, Senator Feyen provided exemplary constituent services to WGA members, and supported legislation that strengthened communities through enhanced marketplace competition. These are key issues for the association, and we appreciate Sen. Feyen’s leadership.”
The award was presented to Sen. Feyen at the Kwik Trip in Winneconne by WGA Board member and Vice President of Kwik Trip Steve Loehr, Kwik Trip Store Leader Nicole Fenske, and WGA Vice President of Government Affairs Mike Semmann.
