Marian University women’s soccer (2-1-0, 0-0-0 NACC) overcame a halftime deficit to defeat Ripon 2-1 at home.

- Another slow start proved to be costly for Marian as Ripon was able to find the back of the net just 6:49 into the game.
- After even play for the first 25 minutes the tide would turn and Marian was able to take control.
- Despite the late dominance, the Sabres trailed 1-0 going into the break.
- Marian had a strong start to the second half and found an equalizer 5:32 into the second stanza.
- Sophomore Breleigh Navis was able to give senior Isabella Goodson space with a through ball that she took all the way to the goal for her first score of the season.
- Then in the 69th minute, fellow senior Baylee Alvarado corralled a loose ball at the top corner and sent a strike to the far upper corner to put Marian ahead.
- The goal was her second of the season.
- The Sabre defense was able to take over the rest of the way and prevent many chances for the comeback win.

- Marian had a 17-10 advantage for shots in the victory and held a 9-7 edge for shots on goal.
- The Sabres outshot the Red Hawks in both half with a 10-4 margin in the final 45 minutes.
- Corner kicks slightly favored Marian by a 4-3 margin.
- There were only five fouls between the two squads with Marian being called four times.
- Marian improves to 17-9-1 all-time against Ripon and has won the last three meetings.
